Amanda has been teaching STOTT PILATES® since 2005. She currently specializes in Athletic Conditioning, Golf & Tennis Conditioning, Pre & Post Natal, Injury Prevention and Recovery, Osteoporosis, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Instructor Training.
Amanda’s clients have become stronger and smarter with their bodies, both inside and out of the Pilates studio. Many of her clients are athletes who benefit from the cross-training, core strength, flexibility, and stability components of Pilates.
One of her favorite things about teaching Pilates is motivating and challenging people to do things they didn’t think they could do as adults. When we are children we play and challenge ourselves to do things, like hang upside down from the monkey bars. As adults we often forget to play, and in the Pilates studio we get a chance to do that again. When her clients practice and get really good at walkovers on the Cadillac, for example, they tune into that child-like playfulness and get a chance to overcome small fears, like hanging upside down.
And of course there is her passion for not just teaching other Pilates Instructors, but mentoring and helping them grow and develop into the best Pilates Instructors they can be. The variety in her teaching keeps her motivated and able to inspire clients and instructors in their health and fitness!
In 2016 Amanda became a STOTT PILATES® Lead Instructor Trainer. She has enjoyed and appreciated the opportunities to teach instructors internationally in Istanbul, Turkey and most recently in Seoul, South Korea. In continuing to further her education and credentials, Amanda has also recently become a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher.
Amanda’s other interests include teaching meditation, hiking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
